Kathryn Middleton Arnold, 86, of 25 Highland Broad Brook, widow of Clyde Arnold, died Feb. 4, 1989. She was born in Rockville, Aug. 9, 1902, daughter of the late Catherine C. Roche and Roger Murphy.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Church, Broad Brook, an honorary member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and a member and past president of the Women's Club of Enfield. She is survived by a son, H. Allen Middleton Ill of Broad Brook; daughter, Carolyn (Arnold) Patten of Ellington; five grandchildren, H. Allen Middleton IV of Broad Brook, Guy E.

6, 1989) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Fred W. Boughton. She was born in Bronx, N.Y., and lived there many years, before moving to East Hartford three years ago.

Prior to her retirement in 1971, she was employed by RCA Radio Corporation of America, New York, where she worked for 30 years. Mrs. Boughton performed volunteer work at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. She leaves a son, Fred W.

Boughton of Delmar, N. a daughter, Mrs. Kay LaForge of East Hartford; a brother, John Hennessy of Tucson, and three grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday, 9 a.m., at the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 Main East Hartford, with the Rev. Margaret Goad officiating.

Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. CLIMER. Eleanor (Mayhew) O'Neill Climer, 64, of Lancaster, formerly of Hartford, died Feb. 5 at home.

She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Elsie (Lassen) and Frederick Mayhew. She lived and worked in Hartford for years, moving to California 32 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Climer of Lancaster, five sons, Terry of Enfield, Donald O'Neill of Freemont, Patrick O'Neill of Newington, Bryant O'Neill of Pinellas Park, and Dale Climer of Lancaster, a daughter, Kathy Kelly of Los Angeles, a brother, Frederick Mayhew of Hartford; and 10 grandchildren. Ruth (Chism) Coolidge, 70, of Porter Road, Hebron, and East Thrush Circle, Bare Foot Bay, died Saturday (Feb. 4) in Roseland, Fla. She was born Sept. 28, 1918 in Springfield, daughter of the late Raymond and Lila (Chapin) Chism, and was raised in Westford. She was a graduate of Windham High School, class of 1935, and also graduated from Bay Path Institute, Springfield, in 1937 majoring in secretarial science.

On Aug. 31, 1940, she was married to Albert A. Coolidge at the Westford Congregational Church. She had also been a member of the Westford Baptist Church. While a resident of Westford, she was a member of the Babcock Band of Ashford.

In 1945 Mrs. Coolidge moved to Hebron, where she was active in several community affairs and organizations. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Hebron since 1947, where she was a member of the Women's Fellowship and was the first woman in the history of the church to be elected chair of the Executive Committee during the 1960s. Mrs. Coolidge was employed as an executive secretary at Arbor Acres from 1960 to 1980.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Carolyn C. Godfrey, of Wilton, and Mary C. Hebron; two sons, Frank A. Coolidge of Annandale, and Calvin C. Coolidge of Reston, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral service will Thursday, 11 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, Hebron, with the Rev. Michael Thornton and the Rev. George Milne officiating. Burial will follow in the Westford Hill Cemetery, Westford, at 2:30 p.m. Calling hours are Wednesday, p.m., at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson (Route -195), Willimantic.

Born in Hartford, she had lived in this area all of her life, moving to Wethersfield 23 years ago. She atOur Lady of Sorrows School, and was a 1931 graduate of Hartford Public High School. 5) at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in New Britain, and lived in Hartford for most of her life. She was retired from the Veeder-Root Co. She is survived by a nephew, Edward Wellington of Norfolk; and a grandniece and grandnephew.

A former resident of New Haven, she was the wife of the late Clarence W. Bronson. She is survived by four children, Margaret B. Taylor of Storrs, Ruth B. Crockett of Hamden, Helen B.

6) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Levittown, Pa. for many years, moving to Glastonbury in December, 1970. Mrs. Millet was a graduate of Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania, class of 1949, and was a judge of elections in Levittown, Pa.

for many years. She taught CCD in Levittown, and in St. Paul's Church, Glastonbury. She was a volunter poll worker in Glastonbury. Besides her husband, she leaves three es sons, J.

Michael Millet of Westford, Padraic F. Millet of New York, N.Y., and T. Kelley Millet of Maplewood, N.J.; two brothers, John J. Nathans of Brynmawr, and Francis J. Nathans of Bucks County, and two grandchildren.

He was a retired corporate vice president for Combustion Engineering. He was past president of the National Industrial Traffic League, and the only alumnus to receive the Harry E. Salzburg Award at Syracuse University. He was past Connecticut Transportation Man of the Year. He leaves his wife, Barbara (Tyler) Morton of Stamford and Naples, Fla; two sons, J.

MURRAY. Augustus J. Murray, formerly of Rumson, N.J., died Sunday (Feb. 5, 1989) at Duncaster, Bloomfield. He was the retired President of A.B.

Murray Co. of Elizabeth, N.J., and McKeesport, Pa. He was the beloved husband of the late Alma (O'Brien) Murray, and father of the late Andrew B. Murray. He is survived by daughter, Antonie M.

She was co-owner with her late husband, Abraham, of the Woodbridge Baking Franklin Avenue, Hartford, and a member of the Congregation Teferes Israel, Hartford chapter of Hadassah, -Mat USA, the Sisterhood of most synagogues in the Greater Hartford area, and the Auxiliary of the Hebrew Home and Hospital. She is survived by a son, Leonard Schoolnick of Simsbury; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lorraine) Hoffman of Ha Bika, Israel; two brothers, Benjamin Haber of Rocky Hill, and David Haber of West Hartford; a sister, Mrs. Abraham (Sarah) Willen of West Hartford; six grandchildren, Jay Schoolnick, Jerry Schoolnick, Judith Hoffman Schneider, Steven Hoffman, Larry, Hoffman, and Elizabeth Elana Hoffman; and six great-grandchildren. Alice (Marincsin) Thompson, 78, of 579 Burritt New Britain, died Sunday (Feb. 5) at New Britain General Hospital. the widow of Lester Thompson. She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Raczkowski) Marincsin, and was a member of St. Mary's Church, New Britain.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Cloutier of New Britain, and Mrs. Joyce Skwiot of Windsor; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Ruth V. Dowd, 71, of 140 Charter Oak Manchester, died Saturday (Feb. 4) at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born in Manchester Dec. 6, 1917, and was a life long resident.

Prior to retiring, she was with the Travelers Insurance Co. for over 40 years. She was a member of the South United Methodist Church, and a member of the A.A.R.P. She is survived by several cousins. Funeral service will be private.

James O. Duncan, 75, of Hartford, died Sundayched. 5) at home. Born in Martinsville, he had resided in Hartford since 1945, and he served Army during World Wathe. Prior to retirement in 1972, he was employed for the MDC for 26 years.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Sharon Duncan of Rocky Hill; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Richard Rhodes of Suffield; a second daughter, Alice LeBrun of Manchester; and seven grandchildren. Gertrude (Roemer) Fiss, 84, of 144 S. Main West Hartford, died Monday (Feb. 6) Dempsey Hospital. Born in Vienna, Austria in 1939, she came to New York with her husband and son. She lived in Great Neck, Long Island, N.

from 1944 to 1987. She was a nationally known fashion designer and was on the faculty of the New York Fashion Institute of Technology. She was an accomplished concert pianist and painter. She was the widow of Emil Fiss. She leaves a son, Dr.

Harry Fiss of West Hartford; two granddaughters, Karen and Naomi Fiss. Kathleen Gettemy Lecce, 38, wife of Frank A. Lecce, of West Hartford, formerly of Farmington, died Saturday, (Feb. 1989) at her home of cancer.

Born in New York, she was an alumna of Mount St. Joseph Academy, Hartford College for Women, and the Kathryn Gibbs School in New York. From 1973 to 1984, she was subscription manager at the HorBushnell Memorial Hall, having come to that position after serving as secretary to the exective director of Carnegie Hall, New City, N.Y. She was an officer of the Hartford Chapter of the Waldensian Aid Society, and a member of the First Church of Christ, Congregational, West Hartford. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, John Jacob and Nora Jane Lecce, both at home; her parents, Dr.

She is survived by three sons, Radames and Pedro, both of Hartford, Jorge of Ponce, Puerto Rico; a daughter, Gloria of Hartford; nine grandchildren; a brother and several sisters in Puerto Rico. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are today, 5-9 p.m. FOX. William M. Fox, 71, of Suffield, died Thursday (Feb.

2) at home. He was the husband of the late Anna (Baker) Fox. Born Jan. 18, 1918 in Mount Kisco, N.Y., son of the late Ella Mary (D'Osone) and M. Fox he resided in Suffield since 1971.

He was a former West Hartford resident. Mr. Fox was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Motion Picture Corps of the U.S. Army A Air Corps. Following World War 11, he produced commercial motion pictures for Nabisco, International Silver and other clients.

He was appointed motion picture producer for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in 1950, remaining with the Aircraft for 15 years, during which he produced "We Saw It Happen: 50 Years of Aviation" (1953), which was nominated for an Academy Award. Following his tenure at the Pratt and Whitney division of United Technologies, he established the Film Workshop, a school for non-theatrical film making, and a division of the Industrial Film Center, and later produced several educational films and filmstrips in Europe and New York City, N. Y. He is survived by son, Paul -W. Fox of Enfield; a a daughter, Joan (Fox) LaCasse of Woonsocket, R.I.; and two granddaughters.

Memorial service will be held at the discretion of the family. There are no calling hours. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery. JOANS. Rodney K. Joans, of Sacramento, died Feb. 3, 1988 in Sacramento, Calif. He was a Connecticut native for 33 years.

(Morello) Morton, 74, of Hartford, widow of Alden D. Morton and James J. Pandozzi died Monday (Feb. 6) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Middletown, she lived in Hartford for many years.

An active Hartford businesswoman, Mrs. Morton was in Connecticut to hold a master heating license, acquired in the early 1940's. She was affiliated with several area companies, J. Pandozzi and Sons Sheet Metal Eastern Furnace Supply Realty, Realty, and Morton Realty. She was a communicant of St.

Brigid Church, West Hartford. She is survived by her mother, Vincenzina Morello of West Hartford; four sons, Andrew Morton of Dayville, Frank Morton of Manchester, Dr. Joseph Morton of Silver Spring, and Dr. Sebastian Morton of Fairfield, N.J.; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral procession will be Wednesday, 9:15 a.m., from Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain West Hartford, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in St.

John Ovsiann: koff, of Wethersfield, husband of the late Nadia (Sokoloff) Ovsiannikoff, died Monday (Feb. 6) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Stavropol, Russia, and lived in Wethersfield for 30 years. He was an elder of St. Panteleimon R.O.

Church, Hartford. He is survived by a son, Nicolas Ovsiannikoff of Wethersfield; two daughters, Nina Krochin, Olga Koladis, both of Wethersfield; three grandchildren, Miriana, George, and Nadia; and three great-grandchildren, Heather, Holly, and Jeffery. There will be a Panichida Mass Tuesday, 7 p.m., in St. Panteleimon R.O. Church, 19 Becket Hartford.

NOREN. Judge Richard C. Noren, 47, of Route 198, Woodstock, died Sunday (Feb. 5, 1989) at home. He was born in Putnam, Oct.

25, 1941, a son of the late Charles W. and Millicent (Dodge) Noren, and was a lifetime Woodstock resident. Judge Noren was a 1959 graduate of Woodstock Academy, and a 1963 graduate of Harvard. He earned his degree in law upon graduating from George Washington University in Washington in 1967. He had passed bar exams in Washington D.

Massachusetts and Connecticut. Judge Noren served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietman era in the Judge Advocate General's Office, also serving on the U.S. Saratoga. He remained in the U.S.

Naval Reserve, and held the rank of captain. He served as clerk of the Windham County Superior Court from 1 1971 through 1981, when he was appointed to the bench by former Governor Ella T. Grasso. Locally he was a member of the Woodstock Historical Society, the Woodstock Conservation Commission, the Woodstock Theft Detection Society, and was a trustee of the Eastern States Exposition. Judge Noren also was active in many professional organizations, including the Harvard Club, the Connecticut Judges Association, the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Windham County Bar Association.

He is survived by a brother, Edward C. Noren of West Woodstock, and a sister, Mrs. William (Beverly) Stahlik of Woodstock Valley. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

A public memorial service will be Thursday (Feb. 9), 11 a.m., at Data General Center, Route 169, Woodstock. There are no calling hours. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to the Richard C. Noren Scholarship Fund, Woodstock Academy, Woodstock 06281.

Francis Hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1888, in Sepino, Province of Campobasso, Italy, and had lived in East Hartford for over 70 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at the Whitlock Manufacturing Co. of Elmwood for 35 years.

He was former member of the Mount Carmel Society, and a member of St. Rose Church. He leaves his wife, Maria (Cifaldi) Rucci of East Hartford; two sons and daughtersin-law, Nicholas W. and Annette C. Rucci of Westerly, R.I., and Samuel V.
